The icing

Holidays are the

icing on the cake.

The buttercream.

Bad times in our lives

swallow kindnesses.

The hurting ice.

Water droplets lose

heat to the March air.

The freezing point.

Discarding old shoes

is a snapping step.

Icicles melt.
