Rhombus of brightness

Some good news!

Truth Serum Press have just accepted this poem for publication in Verdant.

The book is expected to come out in July. It will be available in paperback and a full range of ebooks.

I penned this poem to remember the green one early evening on honeymoon.

Rhombus of brightness

Sarah was happy Watches of the teatime sun A rhombus of brightness Changed the lawn’s tone From lime to light lime Down near St. Margaret’s Bay Ranges of green, palettes With yellows melted Into white hot fire On water seemingly calmed Photons were bedfellows Of the balsam firs They took centre-stage

Silhouetted and tranquil The green’s deep vibrancy Energised Sarah Colour transmissions New varieties of green Opened to her lenses New hues, that differed Olive, shamrock green Pear green that saturated Her soul with gentle peace Populous chromas Her body lifted By green’s comforting manner She loved Nova Scotia And its life of green
