A big thanks to Jennifer Wong for including this pome of mine in the TORCH A Personal History of Home digital anthology:

Glasswork

The practice of a new art form

drew me in, glassblower active

molten bubbles, like bygone days,

when science was unknown, smidges,

sparse studio, an ancient home,

I lived there, I worked there, shelter,

forgiving furnaces, spawn, flasks,

The fusions, new worlds for research

The plots and schemes of synthesis

inked my brain, silica fanfares
