Advice for the broken-hearted by the sea

Be cautious,

on beach sand, if you hurt.

For waves speak

and offer ancient help.

Meditate

on your own oblique sun.

Add acid

to some seawater (so heat can depart;

not enough to spatter).

The water

must first be placed in flasks.

Your mind is full of containers, yes?

Put stoppers on your pain,

and then breathe.

Settle down,

for the alternatives

kill.

Adding sea to acid

gives hot

solutions that splash you.

You don’t want that.

Your heart needs

the calmness of deep sleep.
